Dear family and friends,
This week has been another great week as a missionary! We had a man
call us who said that he was really concerned about being saved! It
was a tender mercy to have him basically self refer himself to us, and
be open and prepared to hear our message. I have a lot of hope for
him.
We have transfers this week again! This time I actually won't
transfer, probably. I will probably reach the 5 transfers, 7 1/2
months in an area club! I am so happy to be in such a good area for so
long. I know that there are more people prepared to here this gospel,
and I am so happy to have been able to see 4 people enter the waters
of baptism. We had all four of our recent converts at church
yesterday, which was a really great tender mercy, and it just so
happened that Elder Ushihara, a member of the area 70, came to our
church, along with our stake president, and him and his wife gave such
awesome talks in sacrament meeting! They stayed for all of church, and
came to our class, and then priesthood, and then the coolest part was
that he held a meeting with all for of the converts, and talked with
just them and him for like an hour! So awesome!!
We had a really cool experience when visiting a member couple in the
ward. We were able to talk about missionary work, and I really felt
the words come to my mind as I spoke about how we receive blessings
according to our efforts, especially in regards to missionary work,
and it doesn't just depend on our outward results, and outcomes, but
we can have faith that we can be blessed, and bless others, according
to the amount of devotion and effort that we give to the
Lord. I know that the Lord sees our hearts, and our desires. We can
truly be blessed as we devote ourselves to the Lord. When we do this
we will be able to become tools in the Lord's hands in bringing to
pass his work. We are on the winning side, but we are not meant to be
fighting a winning battle, this is the last days. We must hold strong
to our beliefs, and be valiant in our faith. I know that Jesus Christ
lives. I know that he is our Redeemer. We can make it through anything
with Him on our side. Our burdens truly can be made light, and we can
be able to reach and work beyond what we thought was possible. I would
not be able to do everything that is being asked of me right now if it
were not for the enabling power of the Atonement, and the power of
God. I know that it all always works out, and that God provides a way
for us to accomplish the thing which he hath commanded. I love you,
and I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, in his name I say these things,
amen.
Love,
コノバー長老
Elder Conover
