I love being a Missionary!!

February 27, 2017

Letter Continued...
Saturday was such an awesome day. I seriously love life so much right now. We started the day off by going to lunch with Kazama kyoudai, and his fianc谷! We went to bistari bistari, and it was so good! It has been a while, and so it was so good to be able to eat there. After that we came back, did language study, and DKK, and then went to meet takuji san at the Eki (subway station). He didn't show up and sent me a text saying that he was going to be late, but that the would come, and we should go on ahead without him. Thank goodness we had Tatchan as a back up! So we went ahead, hoping he would still come. We got to Atsubetsu church and I saw Honda shimai!! She is so awesome! It was so good to see her. It is crazy that she was here with me in this area for her last 6 weeks, 6 months ago! Time really does fly.

Our ekaiwa class member was at the activity! Good old Robert(he made an english name for himself). It was a tender mercy that we were able to find him housing about 5 weeks ago, and get him to continue coming to activities and to ekaiwa. He is a great guy.
So we were all kind of talking to people, while waiting for the concert to start, and I am trying to talk to people who are just sitting alone, and I start talking to this quiet guy who is sitting alone, at first I think that he's a member, and then I think that he's an Atsubetsu investigator, but I ask him where he lives, and he says that he lives in Toyohira, and come to find out he actually lives like a 5 minute walk from our church!! Greatest thing ever! So I ask him to come sit by me and he's totally down. I sit by him and Robert for the testimony concert, and it was one of the best performances of my life!
After we heard all of the church songs from them in their suits and dresses, we went into the other room and they changed it into a Jpop style dance and song performance with the same performers! They changed clothes, and were all wearing jeans and stuff, and it was the funniest, coolest, most talented night of performance I've seen in japan! So the guy that I went and sat by though! We end up going back with him, and take him to the church, give him a church tour, and a Book of Mormon, and invited him to church the next day, which he had already agreed too. He said he would come. He was actually from Kyouto and had met the missionaries 3 years earlier, and had a lot of interest in our church and in the Bible! He is such a golden investigator! He and also this really funny old guy investigator both came to church yesterday! It was great! The guy that I set next to's name is Torikiri! He is such a G, and I think that he will be baptized very quickly! Such a great miracle! I will write more about him next week!
