Dear Family and Friends,
This week has been fantastic!!
Transfer Calls!!:

For the first time on my mission, I received my transfer last tuesday
from the Mission President, President McClure! It was really cool to
have him tell me what would be my transfer call for this transfer. He
told me that I would be getting Elder Kikuchi, a Japanese Elder who is
one transfer younger than me as a companion, and that I would stay in
Eniwa! Last transfer we as zone leaders split, and were in different
companionships in the same area, but now the zone leaders are back
together, and so I get to work with Elder Kikuchi as my zone leader
companion, and as my actual companion. He is a brand new zone leader,
so I get to show him what we do as zone leaders. Elder Kikuchi and I
have been in the same zone quite a bit, and I have always really loved
him. He is Japanese, and so I got another Japanese companion! It's
been about 8 1/2 months since I ended with Elder Satou, my most
previous Japanese companion, so I am so happy to be with another
Japanese companion! Elder Kikuchi is from Tokyo and he loves pigeons!
Haha he is absolutely hilarious and very crazy, so he just makes me
laugh all the time. He is a really good missionary, and really knows
what it really means and looks like to be a missionary. We have set
some really great goals and were able to really see a lot of miracles
just in the last couple days that we have been working together. We
found 10 new investigators just on Saturday! It was crazy! It really
really helps to have a companion that is extremely fun to work with,
because you don't see working hard as hard but just as having a blast!
Haha I love being a missionary.
Elder Jensen transferred after being with my for these last 9 weeks in
this area. He went to an area pretty far away and also got a Japanese
companion, and he became senior companion, so I am really happy that
he has the experience to stretch and push himself in this next stage
of the mission. We had a really good time together, and I will always
really love this last transfer with him. I learned so much and we were
really able to feel the power of the spirit, the Book of Mormon, and
the joy of missionary work, as Yokoishi papa went through the
conversion process.
I love being here in Japan, and have really felt so blessed and
grateful to have the blessing of serving here in Sapporo, Japan,
especially lately. This area is such a happy place for me, and I
really cannot express the feelings that I have felt while working
here. I will now hit 6 months in this area; and we are going to make
this next 6 weeks the best yet of that 6 months!
I know that God is our Heavenly Father. I know that he hears, and
listens to our prayers. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will
make you happier. Choose to Embrace instead of resist, and you will
feel God change you for the better. You will feel joy. I love you all
and am so grateful for all your love and support!
